Our Board of Directors

  • Andrea Bevolden

    PRESIDENT

Being on the Thriving Tides Therapy board means that I get to support an organization that I believe in as well as helping with the growth of an organization that is doing amazing things for its community. Aubrey has done a fantastic job and I look forward to collaborating with her and the rest of the board this coming year!

  • Karah Ley

    VICE PRESIDENT

Karah Ley is a Project Coordinator at The Arc Michigan/Michigan Alliance for Families. She has a master's in social work. Karah has been working in the field of disability advocacy for over 6 years and has worked in a variety of roles and sectors, including case management, public agencies and nonprofits. In addition to her professional experience, Karah is also inspired daily by her brother, Steffan, who lived with multiple developmental disabilities. Being his sibling is what led her to this field and ultimately supporting Thriving Tides Therapy.

  • Emili Alexander

I am looking forward to continuing our research efforts to expand our applications for future grants, so we can continue to provide quality care for our current and future clients.

  • Jeff Bays

  • Bob Michels

    MEMBER

What gets me excited about our program is our students. Working with them each week and seeing how incredibly strong and brave they are is a real blessing. They bring all of us so much joy.

  • Alan Hinks

    MEMBER

I first got involved with horses and therapy in the 1990’s when it was such a positive influence in my daughter Sydney’s life. As it was then, I am involved with Thriving Tides Therapy because it is gratifying to see the good being done and the pure joy of the clients. Additionally, the dedication of Aubrey as well as the others involved in the program, assure the program will be surrounded by enthusiasm and creativity.

  • Natalie Adams

    MEMBER

Natalie has been a part of our program for two years! She volunteers with clients, ensures our equines get love and extra attention, and is a force in our community, telling everyone about our program.
